Two sisters in small-town Alaska taught themselves to play after being inspired by the punk rock they heard on college radio in the 1990s. Their first gig was an Anchorage battle of the bands competition and they broke the record for volume of crowd response, though they did not win. Brooke and Shea haven't stopped playing music.
