about

Written in 1997 in Eagle River, Alaska. From The Betty Crockett's one and only demo, recorded in 1999 in a friend's living room in Portland, Oregon. Time was limited so we kept the first take on everything.

lyrics

---------------
Too. Too. Too. Much.
Echoes throb inside.
I want sweet perfection and
that's what I'll never find.

Expecting all of nothing
I feast from barren vine.
I idolize your power
for complimenting mine.

True love. Nice thought
but we are just friends.
True love. Nice thought
but we are just friends.

The virgin with seductive eyes.
Vegetarian fangs.
I vibrate like a pewter bell
when intellect harangues.
I circle freely round
in my etiquette'd cage.
I burst the lock and as I flee
I hold it firm in place.

True love. Nice thought
but we are just friends.
True love. Nice thought
but we are just friends.
